I am a storyteller.
I take stories and ideas, wipe away the superficial dust to show the connections between seemingly disparate tales, and then wrap it all in the words of my own experience.
I am and have been a teacher, an observer, a traveler, a listening post, a caretaker and tidier of others’ messes. I draw heavily on my own multi-ethnic background, as well as the layered histories of my surroundings. I contain many stories, and will accumulate more.
I hold a B.A. in Modern Languages from Metropolitan State College (now University) of Denver, and an M.A. in Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder. On the road to those pieces of paper, I also studied anthropology, music, and art.
I live in the Colorado Front Range with my family.
